wolf-winters-song

A Winter’s Song – by Ann Miller ©

Wolves come together on a starlit night
Snowflakes sparkle on their ruffs and fur
They lift their voices in powerful song
for they know the season is a-coming

A family joins hands in a snowbound cabin
A candle burns high in the window
They lift their voices in simple song
for they know sweet peace is a-coming

Friends gather together in a city loft
A wreath hangs high in the window
They lift their voices in harmonious song
for they know perfect joy is a-coming

A star flares white in the cold, still night
Each snowflake flashes in return
A caroler’s voice rings clear and bright
for he knows great goodwill is a-coming
